Wife hates the look of Vibram Five Fingers, I wasn't crazy about having to wash them all the time since they didn't fit with socks. Enter this shoe - perfect compromise for minimalist running that forces the runner not to heel strike, super stable for heavy lifting (see old photos of Arnold barefoot), and better than anything for rope climbing with a sticky, durable substance glued to the sides. Did wear through toward the front of the shoe after a year and running trails too much and scraping rocks - not applicable to its intended use. I'm now buying 2nd pair.

I'd give it 4.5 if it would let me. I love everything about this shoe for Crossfit. I like that it's flat enough to give me that nice stable platform during WODs yet has enough beef to hold up through 50 over box jumps. My only complaint is that I wish the laces were a little thicker like 195s or 210s. Thus, the 4.5 stars.
